So Who Is Greg Gutfeld?
Writer, comedian, and talk show host, Greg Gutfeld was born in San Mateo, California, to devout Catholic parents. But don’t let these humble beginnings fool you. After college, Greg interned for several news publications, including Maxim, Prevention, and conservative news outlet The American Spectator.
He ruffled many feathers when he worked for liberal blog post The Huffington Post, a very left-leaning news source website. It earned him the notorious reputation of being one who “inspired, lunatic ridicule of his leftwing fellow Huffers.”
His television career began when he co-hosted Red Eye on the Fox News Channel in 2007. Because it aired in the wee hours of the morning, it didn’t receive many viewers. Frequently hailed guests like Andrew Breibart would draw a trustworthy crowd to the show.
Because of this exposure, Greg was able to help vindicate Breitbart’s tarnished reputation. Uncovering the left’s bias about Breitbart and many others threw curve balls over the mainstream media’s plate they couldn’t hit.
Greg’s infectious personality gained him a spot in 2011 as host of The Five, also on Fox. The Five’s popularity quickly earned Greg the host position, which suited his bold personality exceptionally well. This “dangerous and outspoken” man finally got his own show, The Greg Gutfeld Show in 2015, airing first only on Saturday nights.
The Weekly Standard dubs Gutfeld!’s style as “subversive, a stink bomb hurled into every faculty lounge, mainstream newsroom, movie studio, and nonprofit boardroom in America.”
A mere six years later, Fox hesitantly but wisely bumped him up to prime-time late-night to go head-to-head with such shows as CBS The Late Show with Steven Colbert, NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live. A time frame once thought of being only ruled by left-wing pawns, Gutfeld! now rules the roost!
His Views On The Issues

During an interview in 2009, Greg stated, “I became a conservative by being around liberals, and I became a libertarian by being around conservatives. You realize that there’s something distinctly in common between the two groups, the left and the right; the worst part of each of them is the moralizing.”
