JUSTICE SERVED: Texas Jury REFUSES To Charge Father Who Beats Man To Death Who Raped His Daughter

There will be no charges against a father who beat his daughter’s rapist to death. The Texas rancher beat the accused molester to death after he discovered the man raping his 5-year-old daughter. He will not be charged with homicide, as the 911 tapes released reveal the father calling for help as the other man died.

A grand jury Tuesday decided not to indict the 24-year-old father who beat ranch hand, Jesus Mora Flores, to death with his bare hands, after finding the man abusing his daughter behind a barn.
“I need an ambulance. This guy was raping my daughter and I don;t know what to do,” the father is heard telling dispatchers in a frantic call to 911.
The starkly happened on June 9 at an isolated ranch near Shriner, Texas. A witness saw Flores “forcibly carrying” the girl into a secluded area and ran to find the father, according to court documents. Running towards his daughter’s screams, the father found Flores and the girl, both with their underwear removed, according to police reports.
He pulled Flores off the little girl and “inflicted several blows to the man’s head and neck area,” according to documents.
Authorities who examined the girl and Flores’ body confirmed a sexual assault had occurred.
The dad called 911 from a cellphone.
“Come on! This guy is going to die on me! I don’t know what to do,” he yelled at 911 dispatchers.
District Attorney Heather McMinn told reporters, “Under the law in the state of Texas deadly force is authorized and justified in order to stop an aggravated sexual assault or sexual assault.”
“All the evidence provided by the sheriff’s department and the Texas Rangers indicated that’s what was occurring when the victim’s father arrived at the scene,” she said.
The Guardian reported:
A recording of the tape was played during a news conference Tuesday where the Lavaca County district attorney and sheriff announced that the father will not face charges.
In declining to indict the father in the June 9 killing of Jesus Mora Flores, a Lavaca County grand jury reached the same conclusion as investigators and many of the father’s neighbors: he was authorized to use deadly force to protect his daughter.
“It’s sad a man had to die,” said Michael James Veit, 48, who lives across the street from where the attack happened in this small community run on ranching and the Shiner beer brewery “But I think anybody would have done that.”
The family ranch is so remote that on the 911 tape, the father is heard profanely screaming at a dispatcher who couldn’t locate the property. At one point, he tells the dispatcher he’s going to put the man in his truck and drive him to a hospital.
The Associated Press is not identifying the father in order to protect the daughter’s identity. The AP generally does not identify victims of sexual assault.
