BREAKING: Former President Barack Obama Was SLAMMED For Associating The Uvalde Tragedy With The Two-Year Anniversary Of George Floyd’s Death

On Wednesday, former President Barack Obama drew criticism for seeking to relate this week’s deadly shooting in Uvalde, Texas, to the anniversary of George Floyd’s assassination.

An 18-year-old shooter massacred 19 students and two teachers at Robb Elementary School before being killed in a gunfight with officials. Tuesday’s atrocity has already gone down in history as one of the deadliest mass shootings in the United States.

The massacre in Uvalde took place one day before the two-year anniversary of George Floyd’s murder, which generated nationwide outrage in 2020 when a viral video showed Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin squatting on him and repeatedly claiming he couldn’t breathe until he died.

Last year, Chauvin was found guilty of second and third-degree murder. Floyd’s death was recognized by Obama, who linked it to the ongoing national grief for the youngsters slain in Uvalde.

“As we mourn the children of Uvalde today, we should remember that it has been two years since George Floyd was murdered at the hands of a police officer,” Obama wrote on Wednesday.

“His assassination has left an indelible mark on all of us, especially those who loved him.” “Following his assassination, a new generation of activists came up to turn their pain into organized action, initiating a campaign to raise awareness of institutional racism and the need for criminal justice and police reform,” the former president added before addressing his foundation.

Obama was criticized by some for drawing a parallel between Tuesday’s killing and Floyd’s treatment by police. “Today, not a single bereaved parent gives a care about what happened to Floyd or anybody else,” Redstate editor Kira Davis said.

“For the love of God, say anything. This isn’t the moment to promote your preferred political cause. What a scumbag.” “How does the former relate to the latter?” says the narrator. Ben Shapiro couldn’t help but wonder. Similarly, journalist Andy Ngo commented, “I don’t see the link.”

“Bro. That’s not the case. In any case, “Ben Domenech, a Fox News contributor, told Obama. “‘It’s a shame those kids perished, but do you recall George Floyd? Barack Obama, ‘He’s the one I’m still thinking about.’ “Seth Dillon, the CEO of the Babylon Bee, insulted the former president. “The actual sufferer of Uvalde is George Floyd,” Washington Examiner columnist Harry Khachatrian joked.

“This isn’t it, brah. “This is one of the dumbest tweets in history,” Blaze Media podcast host Jason Whitlock commented, adding, “Little kids killed at school is not the same as Floyd dying after resisting arrest while high.”
