ANOTHER HERO COP: Video shows DRAMATIC police rescue of 6-year-old girl from kidnapper’s car

Police bodycam footage shows Kentucky police rescue a 6-year-old girl from a kidnapper’s car.

Officer Jason Burba of the Louisville Police Department found a young girl in the passenger seat of the kidnapper’s vehicle. The driver, 40-year-old Robby Wildt, was charged with kidnapping of a minor, and his bond was set at $1 million. Wildt said he was returning the little girl because he ‘felt bad.’

In the video, Burba opens the door and says, “Hello. It’s ok,” to the crying child. As he picks her up, the girl says, “I want my daddy.” Louisville Metro Police Sgt. Joe Keeling said, “She’s a 6-year-old girl that obviously couldn’t help herself. She was absolutely terrified. I hate the fact she went through this. I hate the fact this is probably something that’s going to affect her the rest of her life.”

Officer Burba said, “You just can’t get there fast enough. Seconds feel like hours. Your only thought is getting there as fast as you can.” In 2020, the Louisville PD was under attack after the death of Breonna Taylor. Calls to defund the police and anti-cop rhetoric have led to a national decrease in applicants and an increase in retiring officers.
