It has been reported by ConservativeBrief that Elon Musk is a fighter and he is prepared to take on those that are coming after him even if that person is George Soros.
The billionaire, whose offer to purchase Twitter has been accepted by its board of directors, wants to know who is behind a letter that was sent to Twitter advertisers, and signed by more than two dozen liberal groups, demanding that they boycott Twitter if Musk gets the company.
The backers of the leftists non-government offices are backed by billionaire George Soros and some former operatives of Hillary Clinton as well as the Canadian government and the European Union, The New York Post reported.
Musk took direct aim at the groups on Twitter, demanding to know who was backing them. “Who funds these organizations that want to control your access to information? Let’s investigate …,” he said. “Sunlight is the best disinfectant.” “Few names will sure come up, like Open Source Foundation, George Soros amongst others,” a Twitter user responded.
“I will call him and ask,” the Tesla, SpaceX and Starlink CEO reported. He then linked to a story in The Daily Mail that named the backers as Soros, Clinton and Obama staffers and European governments.
“Interesting. I wonder if those funding these organizations are fully aware of what the organizations are doing,” he said. The groups warned in their letter that Twitter will change with Musk at the helm.
“Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter will further toxify our information ecosystem and be a direct threat to public safety, especially among those already most vulnerable and marginalized,” the letter said. With no evidence, the letter said that advertisers on a Musk controlled platform “risks association with a platform amplifying hate, extremism, health misinformation, and conspiracy theorists,” it said.
“Under Musk’s management, Twitter risks becoming a cesspool of misinformation, with your brand attached, polluting our information ecosystem in a time where trust in institutions and news media is already at an all-time low,” the groups said.
“Your ad dollars can either fund Musk’s vanity project or hold him to account. We call on you to demand Musk uphold these basic standards of community trust and safety, and to pull your advertising spending from Twitter if they are not,” it said.
The New York Post reported. The document’s letterhead includes the logos of three organizations — Accountable Tech, Media Matters for America, and UltraViolet.
