Some prominent Donald Trump-haters — including “The Wire” actor Dominic West and a former spokeswoman for Hillary Clinton — are openly rejoicing over the president catching COVID-19.
West, 50, told “Good Morning Britain” on Friday that he felt “joy” at the news of Trump’s illness. Ex-spokeswoman Zara Rahim, who has also worked for Barack Obama and Vogue magazine, said in a since-deleted tweet that she “hopes he dies.” “Well I did slightly leap in the air with joy,” West told “GMB,” appearing on the show via video link from his home in Wiltshire, the Daily Mail reported.
The president, 74, and first lady Melania Trump, 50, remain in quarantine at the White House after being diagnosed with the coronavirus Thursday night.
