Chris Wallace was on CNN’s morning show to promote his new interview show that will air on Sunday night. Instead, the show hosts decided to humiliate him by playing a clip of him singing a Shania Twain song.

The clip showed Wallace belting “You’re Still the One” lyrics at a karaoke bar. The CNN hosts could be heard laughing in the background as Wallace sang the lyrics.

Wallace looked visibly uncomfortable as the clip played, and the hosts laughed at him. Then, after the clip ended, one of the hosts said, “That was very brave of you, Chris.”

Wallace responded by saying, “I’ve had better days.”

He continued: “I didn’t necessarily think that my colleagues here at CNN would play that as the one clip from a very good interview.”

“But I do want to say this, Berman, because I know you’re going to give me a lot of baloney about this. She says that at her concerts, when she does that song, men, women, old, young, they all sing. And honestly, John, have you ever, tell me that you have never felt like a woman?

He then further embarrassed himself. After John Berman said: “Let me, let me just say, you have the music inside you, and that’s what’s important,” Wallace responded: “I do. I do have the music. The music flows through me.”

Wallace further tried to defend his embarrassing actions: “Can I just quickly real quick, I was talking to Shania Twain, and I tell her that we were on a trip, a family trip to Yellowstone back in the late nineties. And we have a cassette on and it’s playing this song and we all sing along.”

The CNN hosts then moved on to other topics and did not apologize to Wallace for humiliating him on national television.

This is not the first time that Wallace has been humiliated on national television. In 2016, he was caught on a hot mic singing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” during a commercial break on Fox News.

Wallace has also been criticized for his biased interviewing style. He has been accused of giving softball interviews to Democrat politicians and tough interviews to Republicans.

Wallace has defended his interviewing style, saying he tries to be fair to all guests.

Despite the criticism, Wallace is one of the most respected journalists in the country. He has won numerous awards, including three Emmy Awards.

TV Insider spoke on Wallace’s show: “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace? will debut on HBO Max on Friday, September 23, the streamer announced Tuesday, September 6, per The Hollywood Reporter. The most interesting clips from the first three episodes will be compiled into one special episode set to air on Sunday, September 25 on CNN.”

Wallace is currently the host of “Fox News Sunday,” a Sunday morning political talk show on Fox News. He has been with Fox News since 2003.

Alisyn Camerota and John Berman host CNN’s morning show. It airs weekdays from 6am to 9am ET.
