Florida Republican Governor Ron Desantis and his team have launched some new merchandise that is a subject of a massive liberal outcry on the internet.
“Escape to Florida,” the new merch reads along with “Lockdown Libs Tour” in the back highlighting the hypocrisy of many Democrats who have criticized Governor DeSantis’ leadership and visiting Florida for their vacations at the same time. Some of these Democrats who have recently visited the sunshine state are also printed on these new shirts- Michigan Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer, New Jersey Democrat Governor, Phil Murphy, Democrat New York Congresswoman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), CNN host Don Lemon.
“We don’t blame you… We like freedom, too,” the merchandise further reads, with the governor’s signature at the end.
In his State of The State address last week, Gov. DeSantis highlighted-
“Florida has become the escape hatch for those chafing under authoritarian, arbitrary and seemingly never-ending mandates and restrictions,” he said, knocking blue state leaders and policies that are “grounded more in blind adherence to Faucian declarations than they are in the constitutional traditions that are the foundation of free nations.” He added.
In November, Republican voter registration in the state overtook the Democrats voter registration as people from all across the country moved to the free state, hopefully leaving their blue voting history behind.

“Because of COVID, people realize the governor has been more consequential in your daily lives than even the President of the United States,” DeSantis said during his appearance on the variety program Ruthless, last week.
“And so, we have an opportunity to not just get all of you to the polls, but to get your friends and neighbors who don’t always vote in these races, and we’re going to have a tsunami of turnout in November 2022,” he added.
