A rookie cop is making headlines due to his heroic efforts in saving a baby girl. He quickly gave her CPR once she suddenly stopped breathing. It happened in Louisville, Kentucky, outside a Shorty’s convenience store.

The story began when a man ran inside the gas station asking for help. Both cops sprang into action. Officer Noah Cole called an ambulance while Officer Nick Greene started gently hitting the week-year-old baby’s back. She appeared to be motionless.

Police-worn body camera comes from Officer Noah Cole, which caught the moment.

The Truth tent reported:

“‘There we go, there we go, there we go,’ Greene could be heard saying before telling his partner that the situation is under control.”

The baby girl was then handed back to her mother. In the video, you can hear the mother thanking the officers. Both officers joined Louisville Police Department last year, and it looks like Louisville will be in good hands.

Emma, the baby girl, was taken to the hospital for an evaluation. It is unclear want caused Emma to stop breathing. However, her family says she is back home, safe and healthy.

According to Greene in an interview, the two cops had just started their shift that day. Their routine usually begins at Shorty’s to talk to the gas station owner.

The Dailymail UK reported:

“Greene said: ‘A gentleman runs into the gas station and telling us his baby is no good,’ he explained, noting that the man barely spoke English but clearly needed help.

“‘He said my baby’s “No Bueno,” so that means “My baby is no good.” So we just ran outside and see what [the] situation was that we had, and the mother was in the backseat with the baby.'”

Officer Greene said that he had never done something like that before in his interview. He told Spectrum News 1:

“My heart was through the roof. At one point in time, my watch clocked my heart rate at like 130 beats per minute within a split second. But you know, like I said, with training we have, we are trained to actually know that answer to questions and keep a calm level head as to perform tasks we need.”

Police body cameras are a good thing. It holds police accountable and ensures the protection of the public against police misconduct. Body cameras also protect good police officers from misinformation and false accusations. Now, if only the good police officers were to root out the corrupted Police unions, then maybe America can be proud of its law enforcement.
