“Obstacle to Two-State Solution,” Pelosi Calls for Netanyahu’s Resignation

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-California) joins Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer in calling for the resignation of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his “terrible” response to Hamas’s siege on Israel on October 7.

The disgraced former House speaker even scrutinized Netanyahu, calling him an “obstacle” to peace for defending their sovereignty.

Pelosi told Irish news outfit RTE, “We recognize Israel’s right to protect itself. We reject the policy and the practice of Netanyahu—terrible. What could be worse than what he has done in response [to the Oct. 7 attack]?”

“[Netanyahu] should resign. He’s ultimately responsible,” Pelosi added.

“I don’t know whether he’s afraid of peace, incapable of peace, or just doesn’t want peace. But he has been an obstacle to the two-state solution.”

Last month, Senate Majority Leader Schumer also demanded regime change in Israel, as he claimed that Prime Minister Netanyahu has “lost his way.”

Schumer even went on to say that the “Netanyahu coalition no longer fits the needs of Israel after October 7.”

At the time, Pelosi praised Schumer’s intrusive remarks and characterized it as “an act of courage, an act of love for Israel.”

However, Netanyahu would not let these callous statements slip, as he called Schumer’s remarks “totally inappropriate.”

“It’s inappropriate to go to a sister democracy and try to replace the elected leadership there,” Netanyahu said.

The Prime Minister also criticized Schumer for meddling in the country’s elections and attempting to topple the Israeli government.

“That’s something that Israel, the Israeli public, does on its own.”

We’re not a banana republic,” blasted Netanyahu.

The prime minister further said that the US should focus on bringing down the terrorist government in Gaza, which murdered over 1,000 Israelis, and dozens of Americans.

Contrary to Pelosi and Schumer’s claims, the people of Israel fully support Netanyahu.

Recent polls reflect that at least 82 percent back his war against the Hamas terrorists.

“The majority of Israelis support the policies of my government.”

“It’s not a fringe government. It represents policies supported by the majority of the people. If Senator Schumer opposes these policies, he is not opposing me. He’s opposing the people of Israel.”

“We’ll see when we win the war, and until we win the war, I think Israelis understand that if we were to have elections now before the war is one resoundingly won, we would have at least six months of national paralysis, which means we would lose the war.”

The prime minister highlighted that this issue is for the Israeli people to decide.
