Names are out!: Epstein associate list unsealed

From troves of documents compiled against Jeffrey Epstein, a new set of names linking to the sex offender have been unsealed on Wednesday.

More than ninety names were listed, which were mostly based on court documents filed as part of accuser Virginia Giuffre’s lawsuit against Epstein’s former lover-turned-business associate Ghislaine Maxwell. 

The list comprises sex abuse victims, witnesses, former Epstein employees, and individuals who appeared to have associated with Epstein during the period of his ongoing business. Among the high-profile names dropped were Britain’s Prince Andrew, former US president Bill Clinton, Michael Jackson, and David Copperfield.

Before the court order, these names were listed as variants of J Does. Many of these names have already been tagged as sex trafficker’s associates even before the list went out. 

However, the court emphasized that being included in the list does not immediately confirm of the person’s wrongdoing. Among the names were mentioned during motions and depositions in the case. 

However, pieces of evidence do not go well for Former president Clinton who was one of Epstein’s frequent flyers on his “Lolita Express.”

In a Fox News report in 2016, Clinton took at least 26 flights on the sex trafficker’s plane. The former president even aboard five of those flights without his Secret Service. 

In a deposition by Johanna Sjoberg, whom Maxwell identified as someone they procured to perform sexual activity with Epstein, she mentioned that the sex offender mentioned that “Clinton likes them young, referring to girls.”

Sjoberg also declared during an interview with Atty. Sigrid McCawley, a lawyer for Giuffre, “knew [Epstein] had dealings with Bill Clinton.” 

It can be recalled that Clinton had a sexual affair with Monica Lewinsky, his then 22-year-old intern. He was already 49 years old when the scandal began.

In a motion by Virginia Giuffre to depose further witnesses, he called on Clinton to appear to make a statement because of his “close personal relationship” with Epstein. 

Aside from Clinton, Sjoberg also named the late musician Michael Jackson, whom she encountered at Epstein’s Palm Beach mansion, and the famed magician David Copperfield.

When Sjoberg was asked if the magician discussed Epstein’s involvement with her, she replied, ” He questioned me if I was aware that girls were getting paid to find other girls.”

Sjoberg also narrates her account of meeting Prince Andrew in New York. She said, “Ghislaine asked me to come to a closet. She just said, Come with me. We went to a closet and grabbed the puppet, the puppet of Prince Andrew.”

“And I knew it was Prince Andrew because I had recognized him as a person. I didn’t know who he was. And so when I saw the tag that said Prince Andrew, then it clicked. I’m like, that’s who it is.”

When they returned to the living room with the puppet, she recalled, “I just remember someone suggesting a photo, and they told us to go get on the couch. And so Andrew and Virginia sat on the couch, and they put the puppet, the puppet on her lap.” 

“And so then I sat on Andrew’s lap, and I believe on my own volition, and they took the puppet’s hands and put it on Virginia’s breast, and so Andrew put his on mine.”
