Thousands of protesters gathered outside the Los Angles city hall on Monday to protest against the city’s vaccine mandate orders.
A March For Freedom was organized by Firefighters 4 Freedom gave platforms to not just first responders like firefighters, police officers, EMTs, but also workers from sanitation agencies, healthcare, and other agencies to raise their voices against the city’s tyrannical order to mandate COVID-19 vaccines.
A member of the Firefighters 4 Freedom, John Knox spoke to KTLA and called the mandate “an overreach” “It’s not your right to tell me what I do with my healthcare, what I put into my body,” he said.
Moses Castillo, a retired Los Angeles Police Department detective said “I’m here to show support for the men and women in law enforcement, the firefighters, those working in sanitation… who are here not so much against being vaccinated, or the vaccine, but they’re against being forced to do so by our local government”
The liberal Los Angeles City Council approved this tyrannical mandate bill on August 18 which effectively requires all city employees to get vaccinated by October 20. Amidst bipartisan pushback, the deadline had to be extended to December 18.
Soon thereafter, Mayor Eric Garcetti didn’t back down and went on full dictator mode and announced that employees who refused to follow the orders and get vaccinated “should be prepared to lose their job.”
A similar tyrannical mandate in L.A. went into effect on Monday that requires citizens to show ‘proof of vaccination’ or a negative test to enter public places like malls, salons, restaurants, movie theaters, etc.
A similar mandate was announced by the Biden Administration recently for private businesses with more than 100 employees but an extension was added to its deadline. This is extended till January 4th.
