Kyle Rittenhouse, the 18-year-old who was found not guilty after a fatal gunshot during the 2020 Kenosha riots, is starting a new campaign to expose prominent news companies for the “lies” they spread. On Monday’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Rittenhouse stated, “Me and my team have chosen to start The Media Accountability Project as a mechanism to assist fundraise and hold the media responsible for the lies they uttered and deal with them in court.” The jury’s decision, according to one CNN commenter, was a “stark reminder of unfairness.”

The acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse, who was found not guilty of all five accusations against him by a jury, baffled members of the liberal media. “You can even kill white folks in this nation and get away with it if they are fighting for Black life. This is the 1619 legacy “Nikole Hannah-Jones of the New York Times Magazine commented. As a “stark reminder of evil,” CNN commentator Ana Navarro felt obligated to link the Rittenhouse decision to other instances.

“Rittenhouse used an AR-15 to kill two guys. Not guilty verdict. Police shot Tamir Rice because he had a toy gun. Christopher Belter raped four young women. There will be no jail time. After spent decades in prison for a murder they did not commit, two men were exonerated “Navarro used Twitter. “Rittenhouse was acquitted, not validated,” said Washington Post journalist Philip Bump in an article.

“Juries are an element of the American judicial system, not the entire system…. The whole system, including prosecutors, judges, and defense attorneys, must work together to achieve justice “Bump posted. “We must keep in mind that acquittals are not moral verdicts. If a jury finds that the government failed to fulfill its burden of proof, this is a judgment on both the accused and the government.”

Later, he said, “The state was unable to persuade a jury that Rittenhouse was criminally responsible for the deaths of two persons… The jury isn’t the issue here. The issue is one that extends back to August 25 of last year: a propensity to use violence for political purposes and explain political violence.” A CNN guest attributed Rittenhouse’s acquittal to his “infantilization” as a result of his young age, and indicated White privilege played a role as well. “He was found not guilty of all counts despite video evidence indicating he murdered individuals,” the Daily Beast said, dismissing Rittenhouse’s self-defense plea.

Lester Holt of NBC News speculated that Rittenhouse was able to “provoke” a violent confrontation before successfully claiming self-defense in court. “The prosecution argued that you can’t incite an attack and then claim self-defense. Perhaps you can. Is that the case here?” Holt had inquired. Tali Farhadian Weinstein, an NBC legal commentator, told Holt that the jury “read provocation pretty narrowly.” Weinstein also criticized the “very hazardous mix of permissive self-defense legislation” as well as “gun accessibility.”

MSNBC, which was barred from the courthouse after one of its journalists was accused of following the jury’s bus, blasted the headline “Kyle Rittenhouse trial was meant to defend white conservatives who kill” across its site. “The case had all the makings of an acquittal before the trial even started,” Ja’han Jones of the ReidOut blog said. “Even before an almost entirely white jury pool was chosen, even before Judge Bruce Schroeder caused a stir by ruling that the slain protesters could be referred to as ‘rioters’ and ‘looters,’ but not ‘victims,’ even before Schroeder refused to punish Rittenhouse for what prosecutors said amounted to a violation of his bond conditions,’ the outcome seemed clear.”

“The judge was the 13th juror,” MSNBC anchor Joy Reid claimed. Other MSNBC commentators have suggested that the Rittenhouse issue be taken to the federal level. On Aug. 25, 2020, Rittenhouse was charged with five counts after fatally shooting two persons and injuring a third during the second night of civil unrest in Kenosha. When he shot Gaige Grosskreutz, 27, as well as deceased Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and Anthony Huber, 26, in the riots after the police shooting of a 29-year-old Black man, Jacob Blake, his attorneys said he was acting in self-defense after being assaulted from behind.

Kyle Rittenhouse should sue the press and others for their comments against him, according to Sandmann. Nicholas Sandmann, the “Covington Kid,” appeared on “Hannity” Friday night for an exclusive interview, offering advice to Kyle Rittenhouse following his acquittal earlier in the day. Sandmann was criticized by the media in 2019 after a video of him wearing a red Make America Great Again hat and standing in front of a Native American elder on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial during the March For Life went viral.

Sandmann and Rittenhouse’s experiences with the media are very similar, according to Fox News anchor Sean Hannity, who revealed that the Kentucky student is still suing six sites for different defamation or libel-related charges. “Sean, this is horrible… Kyle is 17 years old, and I am 16. Your mind is still maturing. So, how do you cope with a stress overload when you have the sensation that half of the country, hundreds of millions of people, hate you for something you’re not guilty of – but how you’re depicted may have a mental impact?” he stated.

“It takes a very strong will to be able to resist that and keep a level head. I think that Kyle Rittenhouse is dealing with that right now.” Sandmann added that while Rittenhouse’s legal actions are ultimately up to him, he plans to sue the media outlets that he feels have defamed his reputation. “It’s really a personal call,” He said that his personal experience with the press will be three years in 2022 and that six cases are still pending. “I know he has a lot on his plate, on whether he wants to entrench himself in this.”

After seeing CNN, MSNBC, and others report irresponsibly on his interaction with Native American elder Nathan Phillips, Sandmann said it was tough to return to regular life. “It was like being in the middle of a car accident that you couldn’t look away from. My gaze was transfixed to the television as I watched my character be ripped apart “he stated “Kyle, I’m sure, will go on the quest of regaining his former self. He’ll never be the same person again, of course. It’s a battle.” He also mentioned Cenk Uygur, the creator of The Young Turks, who referred to Rittenhouse as a “murderer” before the trial and “continues to refer to me as a’murderer.'”

“Everyone who lied about me, such as everyone who lied and branded me a White supremacist, will be held responsible,” Rittenhouse added. “All of them will be held accountable. And we’ll deal with them in a courtroom.” Fox News’ calls for response were met with silence from ABC News and The Young Turks. Following the trial, Nicholas Sandmann, a Covington High School student who filed many lawsuits against media entities for their coverage of him in 2019, spoke with Rittenhouse. Sandmann was chastised by the media when a video of him wearing a red Make America Great Again hat and standing in front of a Native American on the Lincoln Memorial during the March For Life went viral.
