Hillary Clinton admitted Tuesday night that she wanted to tell President Trump to “shut up” during their debates, too. The 2016 Democratic presidential candidate responded, “You have no idea” when a Twitter user suggested Clinton would have liked to snap “shut up, man!,” as Joe Biden did on Tuesday during his first debate with Trump.
“’Will you shut up, man’ is the line of the night. I feel so sorry for Hillary right now because I’m positive she wanted to say that and couldn’t,” tweeted feminist author Jill Filipovic. Clinton, who ran against Trump in 2016 and debated him, replied: “You have no idea.”
The outburst from Biden came during the opening 20 minutes of his first showdown with the president in Cleveland after he was asked whether he would support adding justices to the court if Trump replaced Ginsburg.
