HERE WE GO AGAIN | Biden Repeats Claims “First in Family To Go To College”

He just keeps on doing it.

President Joe Biden has once again repeated an already debunked claim that he was the first person in his family to go to college.

“I, like an awful lot of people in this audience, was the first in my family to go to college and watched my dad struggle to help me get there,” Biden remarked during a speech at Madison Area Technical College in Wisconsin.

In a Washington Times report, the president made the same statement during a CNN town hall in the 2020 presidential race.

However, Biden had already retracted these claims in an interview with The New York Times 35 years ago, when he got involved in a plagiarism scandal during his 1987 presidential campaign.

He said, “There are Finnegans, my mother’s family, that went to college.”

Moreover, the York Daily Record shared census records revealing that his father enrolled at Johns Hopkins University for a year.

The Post also reported that a wedding ad in the Scranton Tribune wrote that Biden’s father “attended Johns Hopkins University.”

During a commencement speech at the University of Notre Dame in 2016, the Democratic Party’s presumptive nominee shared that his maternal grandfather attended and was a football player at Santa Clara College in California.

Biden quipped, “Grandpop” Ambrose didn’t care for Santa Clara, being referred to as the “Notre Dame of the West,” choosing instead to call the Fighting Irish the “Santa Clara of the Midwest,” wrote Santa Clara Magazine.

Santa Clara College also paid tribute to his grandfather in an obituary, describing him as “a star athlete, he gained nationwide recognition for his feats as quarterback of the Santa Clara football team.”

The obituary by Santa Clara College also noted that Finnegan graduated and was involved in the real estate business in San Francisco.

GOPers did not let Biden’s inconsistencies pass and pointed them out on social media.

Greg Price, communications director for the State Freedom Caucus Network, said, “One of the reasons we know it’s a lie is because Biden has bragged several times in the past about how his grandfather played college football.”

“He’s lying. In 1987, he was even forced to admit it’s a total lie,” tweeted RNC Research.

Jack Montgomery quipped, “He first made it during his 1987-88 run at the presidency, when he also lied about his scholarship, degrees, and class ranking. After being exposed, he claimed his “memory had failed.”

“Of course, we can’t be certain whether he’s lying or is so senile he believes what he’s saying.

This isn’t funny either,” blasts Paul Szypula.
