It’s why the overwhelming success of the summer blockbuster film, Top Gun: Maverick is a welcome bit of relief in the world of progressive elitism. It brings us back to an America first attitude of the 1980s.

He said the movie is nostalgic which has always appealed to the Hollywood director. He has directed several classics which harken back to an earlier time. Yes, they usually are violent but at least traditional.
The Tom Cruise movie is unapologetically pro-American. Town Hall.com says the film represents a feeling Americans have been missing for almost two years, pride in rugged American exceptionalism.
The President ran on unifying the country. Biden has done nothing but destroy any hopes of bringing the nation together. The Democrat party and identity politics have deliberately weakened America and divided the races and classes.
Top Gun: Maverick takes us away from the politics now evident in everything from movies to sports. Classrooms have become a battleground over critical race theory and pronouns. America is in a second Civil War. One of political ideology.
Another profoundly pro-American movie, Miracle, has a line about the players being so concerned about their anger and hatred for Coach Brooks that they won’t be focused on their hatred for each other.
In America today, it’s the opposite. People will be so focused on their hate and anger towards one another, that we won’t be focused on the true enemy. Progressive politicians who are bank-rolled by the Chinese.
Tarantino’s support of the movie only adds to its emotional power. Yes, he looks at it more from a technical cinematic success but does it matter? The respected director appreciates the film for what it is. An American classic.
