On Sunday last weekend, the previous White House press secretary, and the existing MSNBC host, Jen Psaki, diverted the “defund the police” campaign against GOP members, alleging they are now the party that urges to dilute law enforcement.

While criticizing GOP, Psaki stated:

“It turns out, after all their outrage and fearmongering, they are the ones who want to defund law enforcement.”

She was replying to demands from GOP Reps. Matt Gaetz of Florida, and Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, to withdraw funding from the FBI, the Justice Department, along with other government agencies that, according to critics, have become politicized by the Biden administration.

In March, Gaetz stated while addressing CPAC:

“We either get this government back on our side or we defund, get rid of, abolish the FBI, CDC, ATF, DoJ, every last one of them.”

Psaki supported the government by stating that the Justice Department’s purpose is to protect the nation.

She stated:

“Remember, the job of the Justice Department is not just to file abstract legal briefs, it is to keep our country safe. That phrase is literally in their mission statement.”

After the arrest, Donald Trump, via his Truth Social account, directed the Republican Party to withdraw funding for the FBI and DOJ “UNTIL THEY COME TO THEIR SENSES.”

He added:

“THE DEMOCRATS HAVE TOTALLY WEAPONIZED LAW ENFORCEMENT IN OUR COUNTRY AND ARE VICIOUSLY USING THIS ABUSE OF POWER TO INTERFERE WITH OUR ALREADY UNDER SIEGE ELECTIONS!”
