Drea de Matteo Blasts Hollywood’s “Cancel Culture,” “Many Celebs Support Trump”

Award-winning actress Drea de Matteo burns Joe Biden in her recent appearance on Triggered with Donald Trump Jr. last Wednesday.

de Matteo, who was known for her role in “The Sopranos,” told Don Jr. about her experience in Hollywood and how many stars “want to fight” against Biden but “are petrified” of the “cancel culture” that has been prevailing in the industry.

She added that many people in the entertainment industry think Biden and the Democrats are “divisive” but are too “afraid” of the repercussions since the liberals are in power.

The actress further told Don Jr., “I wanted to. I really did want to fight, but I didn’t think I had, A, the voice, B, the balls.”

“I kind of got thrown to the wolves, I felt like, and once I was out there. I was like, I’m out here, what am I going to do? I’m out of my cage. Like, I may as well, you know, do what I got to do.”

However, she feels now she can speak freely because she is supported by her family and God.

“I do feel like I’m supported by my boyfriend,” she said.

“My children, [they] believe in what we believe in, which is freedom and unity the right way. Not unity the way this administration was trying to push. That was bulls***,” de Matteo quipped.

“They took every social agenda and used that and used these social issues as pawns to further their administration, did nothing but divide people.”

“This administration just has been hammering all of these things, and people in Hollywood are petrified. What are you going to speak out against race, and sex, and all of that stuff?” she added.

“People are afraid to have those kinds of conversations. Because first of all, you never win with a label. You’re just never going to win.”

“I’m just so liberal that I’m conservative at this point, do you know what I mean?” de Matteo said jokingly.

“I’m just so open, that’s the thing, liberals are supposed to be open-minded.”

Early this year, de Matteo also spoke with journalist and host Megyn Kelly on her show.

The veteran actress told Kelly how she deeply regrets voting for Biden.

“I got swept up in the emotion of it all,” she told Kelly.

“I wasn’t paying close enough attention to understand what was really happening,” she continued. “We all took a nap. We were all sleeping. I was definitely sleeping. I don’t know what I was focused on.”

During this interview, she remarked how she’s torn between independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and President Trump.

de Matteo shared how she admires RFK Jr.’s temperament; however, she respects Trump’s “anti-globalism” and “how crass he is.”

“I’m a New Yorker, so I’ve always loved Trump!” she emphasized.
