The tension between the United States and Russia is growing by the day, as worries grow that a single blunder might spark World War III. And now, Russia has told the US that it regards the American convoys transporting weaponry to Ukraine as legitimate military targets.
“We have warned the US that the US-orchestrated inundation of Ukraine with weaponry from various nations is not only a risky maneuver, but also one that makes these convoys acceptable targets,” Russia’s deputy foreign minister Sergey Ryabkov stated, according to The Epoch Times.

The Department of Defense (DoD) of the United States declined to comment. The State Department of the United States did not reply to a request for comment.
According to a senior US defense official, there have been “no indicators” of Russians targeting weapons shipments. Ukraine has received armaments from the US, notably anti-tank and anti-armor missiles. Such behaviors, according to Ryabkov, are “escalatory.”
“Despite all the incantations that they are incredibly responsible individuals who evaluate every step they make,” the deputy foreign minister stated, “the escalatory component of Washington’s strategy certainly prevails.” When asked why sending planes from Poland to Ukraine was deemed “high risk,” Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby outlined the reasoning behind the decision.
According to Kirby, the US has proceeded with additional military help that intelligence authorities have labeled high-risk in terms of escalating the conflict. On February 24, Russia invaded Ukraine, claiming that military action was required to “demilitarize and de-Nazify” the neighboring nation, which was previously part of the Soviet Union.
Ukraine, the US, and a number of other nations have stated that the invasion was unjustified and should not have occurred. Although no nations have dispatched troops to help Ukraine, the US military and other NATO allies have delivered weaponry, body armor, and other supplies to Ukrainian soldiers.
This week, Russian official Nikolai Korbinets stated that no conversation with NATO would be feasible since NATO provides weapons to Ukraine that are used to murder Russian troops.
“The weapons intended to kill Russian servicemen. No dialogue with NATO can be possible in these circumstances,” he stated. When responding to the President of the United States this weekend, the deputy foreign minister underlined these concerns.
“We are not taking any steps, verbal, in the form of statements, whatever, which could be regarded as an escalation, there is none of this,” he claimed.
“Meanwhile, the U.S. top official is openly talking about the danger of a Third World War. This is an attempt to play on the nerves, an attempt to impose their own agenda on international community, to us the destructive goals of this line are evident.” he said.
