Joe Rogan, a prominent name in the entertainment industry, praised former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany as “the best” and likened her to retired basketball star Michael Jordan.
For the most recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, which aired on Saturday, September 15th, Rogan had on a special guest: Aaron Rodgers, the star quarterback for the Green Bay Packers. At one point, during their discussion about politics and the pandemic, Joe Rogan advised his enormous audience to ‘vote Republican.’
“The only one who was good at the — that girl McKeneney…what’s her name? Kay — Kayleigh McEnany. “The one who worked for Trump, that lady was a fcking assassin. That lady had like binders with like footnotes and anyone would say some sht she’d say ‘That’s interesting because actually CNN said this’ and then she would like to quote it back to them and stuff it in their face.
“She was the Jordan of press secretaries. She was the best, most impressive press secretary I think we’ve ever seen in our lifetimes, and she didn’ get the credit that she deserved because they were trying to play her off as some kind of ditzy Barbie doll, which she’s not,” said Rogan.
“She was the perfect person for that job and I think history will be much kinder to her than the current narrative, which is being dictated by people who are way too emotionally invested in this stuff,” he added.
McEnany, who left the White House in early January, is now a regular contributor on Fox News.
Rogan’s comments come as McEnany has been under fire from liberals for her new gig. The former press secretary has been accused of ‘normalizing’ the far-right network and even ‘spreading disinformation.’
But McEnany has brushed off the criticism, telling Fox News host Harris Faulkner earlier this month that she is “excited” to be at the network.
“I love being able to go out and talk to the American people and give them unfiltered information,” she said.
McEnany also shot down claims that she is ‘spreading disinformation’ on Fox News, saying that she is “delivering facts.”
“I think it’s really rich for anyone to try and say I’m spreading disinformation when for four years I was in the White House delivering facts to the American people,” she said.
“I think it speaks more to their own insecurities as to why they can’t handle a conservative voice like mine on Fox,” she added.
Rogan has been a massive fan of McEnany since she took over as press secretary in April 2020. He has praised her multiple times on his podcast, calling her the ‘best press secretary in U.S. history’.
Rogan has also been a big critic of the mainstream media, slamming them for their ‘unfair’ coverage of President Donald Trump and his administration.
