BREAKING: Here’s What The Media Missed From The Ghislaine Maxwell Trial- Charges Against Epstein’s Prison Guards Dropped

Federal Prosecutors recently dropped charges against two prison guards who were accused of falling asleep while monitoring convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and falsifying prison records after Epstein allegedly killed himself.

On December 13th, Prosecutors sent a nolle prosequi to the judge demanding to drop two charges against the guards, Tova Noel and Michael Thomas. The nolle prosequi states that they have completed community service and complied with terms of a “non-prosecution agreement” which means that their case won’t be brought to trial after an investigation into Epstein’s death is complete.

In November 2019, several charges were filed against the two guards for allegedly falling asleep and disregarding their duties at the Metropolitan Correctional Center where Epstein was held on sex trafficking and sexual-misconduct charges and where he “killed himself” The two guards also allegedly falsified prison records and they pled guilty to this charge later on. Epstein was found dead in his cell on August 10.

Epstein’s brother hired a private coroner who ruled that Epstein’s death was more consistent with a homicide, rather than a suicide.

Jason Foy, the lawyer for Tova Noel said that his client is “extremely grateful that we were able to convince the government and the court the termination of criminal prosecution through a deferred prosecution agreement is in the interests of justice,”

Montell Figgins, the lawyer for Thomas’ said Thomas “is very happy to put this case behind him,” according to Law and Crime.
