BREAKING: Conservative Aaron Lewis’ new patriotic song hits NUMBER ONE on Apple’s iTunes, beating out lib Taylor Swift

Country singer Aaron Lewis released a song on Friday that charted the top five on iTunes over 4th of July weekend.

Lewis tweeted a snippet, dedicating the single to “all the patriots.” The song shows a strong disdain for the anti-American activists that have been burning the flag and taking down statues. The song starts off by asking “Am I the only one here tonight / Shakin’ my head / And thinkin’ something ain’t right?” Then he goes on by asking “Is it just me / Am I losing my mind / Am I standing on the edge / Of the end of time?”

Then, in the chorus, “Am I the only one / Willin’ to fight / For my love / Of the red and white / And the blue / Burnin’ on the ground / Another statue comin’ down.” Towards the end of the song, Lewis takes a subtle hit at Bruce Springsteen with lyrics “Am I the only one /  Who quits singin’ along / Everytime they play a Springsteen song?”

Last November, the 71 year old made headlines for saying he’d be “on the next plane” to Australia if former President Donald Trump won the 2020 election. Lewis tweeted about supporting Donald Trump back in June, so it is no surprise the country singer took a slight jab at Springsteen in his single. Many conservatives have taken to social media to support his new song.
