Melania Trump to Host LGBTQ+ Event, Finally Joins Husband in the Campaign Trail

THE WAIT IS OVER. Finally, First Lady Melania Trump hops on the campaign trail as various sources say she will host Log Cabin Republicans in Mar-A-Lago, Palm Beach, Florida, later this month.

Log Cabin Republicans is the most prominent Republican organization advancing LGBTQ+ rights. The group maintained a longstanding friendship with the former First Lady.

On its website, the Log Cabin Republicans described their group as “the nation’s largest Republican organization dedicated to representing LGBT conservatives and allies.”

“For more than 40 years, we have promoted the fight for equality through our state and local chapters, our full-time office in Washington, D.C., and our federal and state political action committees,” the group added.

Before this, Melania attended one of their diners, and in 2022, President Trump delivered a speech at an event organized and led by the group.

Log Cabin Republicans’ activity is scheduled for April 20; this is in line with their “Road to Victory” program, which aims to sway voters in battleground states.

Among the hosts of the event were the GOP’s megadonors: Saul Fox, Amanda Schumacher, Bill White, Bryan Eure, and Richard Grenell.

A reporter asked Melania if she would join Trump on the campaign trail, during the wake of NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller, who was shot and killed by a career criminal. The first lady responded, “Stay tuned” without getting into details.

Trump had long expressed Melania’s hesitancy to go in public and involve the family in his reelection efforts.

“It’s funny, she was a very successful model, very, very successful, and yet she was a private person. She’s going to be out a lot. Not because she likes doing it, but [because] she likes the results,” Trump remarked.

“She wants to see this country really succeed. She loves the country.”

Melania will also join Trump on Saturday for the dinner hosted by billionaire John Paulson. This event is said to raise as much as $43 million, which could outnumber Biden’s recent donation drive.

In February, the former first lady accompanied Trump as he attended an evening gala organized by one of his fan clubs, the Trumpeetes, at Mar-a-Lago Club.

She walked ahead of her husband, who greeted supporters lined up along velvet ropes, while the former first lady smiled and waved at attendees.

When Trump began his speech, he regarded Melania and said, “First of all, our great first lady,” which boosted the crowd.

Trumpettes co-founder Toni Holt Kramer touted the gala as the “very best” among the events she hosted at Mar-a-Lago and said it was made extra special because of Melania’s presence.
