Majority of Voters Think Biden’s Presidency Is a “Failure,” as Donald Trump Widens Lead in Recent Poll

A majority of registered voters consider President Joe Biden a failure as Donald Trump continues to widen his lead in a recent CNN poll.

The survey revealed that at least 49 percent of registered voters favor Trump, while Biden only had 43 percent. His rating last January was slightly higher (45 percent).

Meanwhile, Americans are now looking back on Trump’s presidency positively, with 55 percent considering it a success. Contrary to Biden, a huge number (61 percent) of voters view his administration as a failure.

Views on Biden’s leadership have not improved since his first year, where only 41 percent of Americans think it was a success.

The news outfit further noted that those who praised Trump’s leadership, now that he is not in power, soared.

CNN also remarked that “Republicans now are more unified around the idea that Trump’s presidency was a success than Democrats are that Biden’s has been one.”

Overall, 92 percent of GOP members tout Trump’s presidency, while only 73 percent of Democrats think Biden’s leadership was a success.

For those who consider themselves independents, “51% say Trump’s presidency was successful, while only 37% see Biden’s as a success.”

Moreover, the CNN poll noted that about 60 percent disapprove of Biden’s handling of the job, while 40 percent approve. Even in areas where the incumbent had good ratings, they are also in the negative mark, with only 45 percent commending his policies on healthcare and 44 percent on student loan debt.

His worst issue, which hurt his approval rating, was his response to the Israel-Hamas war, where he only received a 28 percent favorability rating while 71 percent disapproval, “including an 81% disapproval mark among those younger than 35 and majority disapproval among Democrats (53%).”

Additionally, only 34 percent of Americans gave Biden a thumbs up on his economic policies, while his response on inflation only received 29 percent approval.

Voters noted that response to economic woes is one of their key categories when choosing a candidate.

In a recent survey, about 65 percent of registered voters noted that the economy is “extremely important” to vote for president, a 20 percent increase from the 40 percent who responded the same in 2020.

Evident here is that an overwhelming number (70 percent) of Americans consider the US economic conditions poor.

And Biden, who claims to be advocating for the working class, has 53 percent of voters who are “dissatisfied with their finances.”

The research firm SSRS had 1,212 adults as respondents, 967 of whom are registered voters.
