Jill Biden went ballistic when Tony Dokoupil, host of CBS Mornings, asked for her views on a recent poll revealing President Donald Trump’s lead against Joe Biden in six swing states.
First Lady Jill insists that it’s “obvious” that her husband Joe “will win” and that he is gaining ground in the seven battleground states: Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, North Carolina, and Wisconsin.
The Wall Street Journal recently found Trump leading against Biden by between two and eight percent in all swing states except Wisconsin, where the two tied or the incumbent was slightly leading by a few points.
Jill Biden went wild and said, “No, he’s not losing in all the battleground states. He’s coming up,” Jill Biden asserted. “He’s even or doing better. You know what? Once people start to focus and they see their two choices, it’s obvious that Joe will win this election.”
Voters from all seven states had negative perceptions of Biden’s performance.
On the other hand, the former president had one unfavorable review in Arizona, but it was overshadowed by positive feedback.
Hosts also asked Jill if she was worried about Joe being reelected: “No, no, no. I feel that Joe will be re-elected.”
Despite her denial, Trump continues to lead against Biden on issues concerning the voters in this presidential race.
During his segment, CNN’s political analyst Harry Enten discussed the WSJ poll: “Look at the why: what is going on? Alright, trusted more, again, this is across all of these key seven swing states.”
“Look, Donald Trump is trusted more than Joe Biden in basically all the important issues—the economy, inflation, 20-point lead, immigration, border, 20-point lead, the Israel-Hamas war, 14-point lead, the Russia-Ukraine war, nine-point lead, protecting democracy, well within the margin of error, which I think is something the that should worry that Biden camp, given that has been harping and Democrats been harping on this.”
Enten then pointed out the main concerns of voters, saying, “On abortion, Democrats and Joe Biden have a 12-point advantage. They would love this campaign to be about abortion, but at this particular point, it‘s about this. And it‘s about this with perhaps a little bit of this.”
The CNN analyst also slammed Biden and Democrats for claiming that they were protecting democracy, but in reality, “that’s a wash right now.”
“It is a wash. And this is not the only poll that shows… I was looking at a Quinnipiac University poll last month, last week, excuse me, that showed the same thing.”
“And it‘s something that RFK Jr. said to our colleague, Erin Burnett, saying, I‘m not quite sure—Joe Biden may be worse for protecting democracy. It turns out a lot of voters agree on that.”
