Harvard Law Professor Rebukes Gag Order on Trump, Says It Violates His Freedom of Speech

The Communist Democrats have turned the entire country into a banana republic with criminals roaming the streets while they target political rivals with smear campaigns and bogus charges.

One perfect example is Fat Alvin’s lawfare against former president Donald Trump.

With the democrats seated in power in the state of New York: streets were filled with trash, veterans were left homeless, rapists and criminals roam free, and terrorists go in and out of the country without restriction. What is the New York government doing? Nada.

Alvin Bragg and Judge Juan Merchan were busy weaponizing the law against the former president.

Harvard law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz toast the Democrats, particularly Judge Merchan’s gag order on Trump.

Dershowitz opposed a column published by the Wall Street Journal last Friday calling to retain the gag order on the former president to keep him from expressing his views on jurors and members of the prosecution who wanted to throw him in jail.

For the Harvard law professor, this move will violate Trump’s First Amendment Rights, and “it violates your First Amendment Rights and mine as well.”

“The second, less obvious but equally important, is the right of the public to hear the speaker’s views and evaluate them,” Dershowitz stressed that along with the First Amendment, the public has the “right to receive information and ideas.”

Dershowitz predicts that this will be one of the main topics of Trump and Biden’s debate in Atlanta on Thursday.

“It is likely that during the debate President Biden will call Mr. Trump a ‘convicted felon.’ The Democratic Party has spent millions of dollars in campaign ads focusing on the New York criminal convictions. Those who watch the debate and who have seen the Democratic attack ads have a First Amendment right to hear Mr. Trump’s full replies,” Dershowitz wrote.

“We have the right to evaluate his views on the witnesses, jurors, and judge’s daughter. Just as no one is above the law, no one is above criticism regarding the legal process.”

The law professor continued, “Mr. Trump may overstate and even distort his complaints, but in the marketplace of ideas protected by the First Amendment, all of us — not the New York courts — have a right to judge him on what he says.”

Dershowitz echoes Trump’s defense and has asserted that now that the case has rested, the former president should be free to fully address the issue in light of the stupid Democrats’ “convicted felon” campaign.

“The marketplace of ideas shouldn’t allow one candidate to take unfair advantage of a questionable conviction while the other candidate has one hand tied behind his back by a questionable gag order,” Dershowitz added.

For the law professor, the hearing for Trump’s hush money case “wasn’t a trial” but a “predetermined, orchestrated result.”

Donald Trump sacrificed a life of luxury to be convicted in a fake trial, with a rigged jury, a communist judge, a communist DA, a communist state AG, a Communist Governor, a communist DOJ, and a dictator living in the White House.
