Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is not having an easy time. In District 14 of New York, it includes parts of The Bronx and parts of Queens. Neighborhoods such as Elmhurst, Jackson Heights, Pelham Bay, and Throggs Neck are within District 14. Half of its population is Hispanic or Latino; for many years, it has been run by a Democrat.

The last time District 14 had a Republican was in 1993. Susan Molinari finished her Father’s term and then was reelected. District 14 then elected Carolyn Maloney, a Democrat, while Susan Molinari Represented District 13 due to redistricting.

This is a District where Republicans have little to no chance of winning. Democrats usually win elections with over 70% of votes in their favor. The year 2022 is probably telling the years 2020 and 2021 to hold its beer because things might get crazier; District 14 has a fighting chance of going red.

District 14 going red would be catastrophic for the Democrats. It has a long history of being a Democratic stronghold. Not only would it be a lethal hit on the Democratic party, but losing District 14 will also permanently stain AOC’s political career.

AOC is constantly getting booed at Town Halls. Last week AOC was called to the mat about her voting record in Congress.

One protester said

“None of this matters unless there’s a nuclear war, which you voted to send arms and weapons to Ukraine. Tulsi Gabbard, she’s left the Democratic Party because they are a bunch of war hawks…You ran as an outsider, yet you’ve been voting to start this war in Ukraine. You’re voting to start a third nuclear war with Russia and China. Why are you playing with the lives of American citizens? You’re playing with our lives!”

Another protester joined in:

“There will be no neighbors if there’s a nuclear bomb! You voted to mobilize and send money to Ukrainian Nazis. You’re a coward…You have done nothing! Tulsi Gabbard has shown guts where you’ve shown cowardice. I believed in you, and you became the very thing you sought to fight against.”

These protesters called AOC to the mat once she opened the floor to a Q & A session. The second protester then asked her a question:

“Are you going to stop nuclear war? Yes or no?”

He repeats this question in various ways, AOC tries to tell him that there is a line, but there isn’t one. Keep in mind this is the Q & A session, and she refuses to answer to the point where she snaps and says she won’t because the man was being rude.

Well, that is the whole point, AOC. She herself has said back in 2020 that the entire point of protesting is to make people uncomfortable.

She tweeted:

The whole point of protesting is to make ppl uncomfortable. Activists take that discomfort w/ the status quo & advocate for concrete policy changes. Popular support often starts small & grows. To folks who complain protest demands make others uncomfortable… that’s the point.

AOC is up for re-election, her opponent is Tina Forte. The left-stream media hasn’t held back any punches when it comes to calling Tina Forte a racist, fascist, etc. The website FiveThirtyEight still doesn’t have any polls for District 14. According to them, there is no race in District 14.

AOC was heckled again at another Town Hall; the new viral video shows AOC dancing to the beat of the protesters. She then started to mock them and laugh. Of course, she was happy because, in her mind, those who disagree with her want to date her.

Was it disgraceful? I will throw a bone and say no; it was her way of playing it cool in an intense situation. This new video, while promising and enjoyable to watch, is more intense when compared to being asked real questions.

Also, “AOC has got to go!” is a catchy tune; it would be hard for anybody not to dance to a good beat. If the Republicans were smart, they would jump on this bandwagon and hit hard.

This is an excellent opportunity to poke holes in a Democratic stronghold, but notice how no top Republican is in sight. Where is Rand Paul? Elise Stefanik? Kevin McCarthy? Ted Cruz? Where is the RNC, and why aren’t they supporting Tina Forte?

That is because their whole “Commitment to America” is all talk and no action. I want to be proven wrong, and I hope we see changes being made, but I also know that the Republicans on the Hill are all about the status quo. They will not fight or go against the grain. They just want the power and the ability to do nothing.
