UNCONSTITUTIONAL: Biden admin reportedly pointing schools to group advocating CRITICAL RACE THEORY

Fox News reporter, Lawrence Jones, condemned the Biden administration for pointing schools to a pro-CRT racial group, known as the Abolitionist Teaching Network.

According to its guide, “Abolitionist Teaching promotes justice, healing, joy, and liberation for all Black, Brown, and Indigenous folx, inclusive of all intersecting identities.” Teachers should “[r]emove all punitive or disciplinary practices that spirit murder Black, Brown, and Indigenous children.”

In 2020, co-founder Bettina Love said, “I’ve been teaching now for 19 years and I’ve been doing this work of completely disrupting systems in elementary schools and school systems for this 19 years.” The controversial recommendation was found in the Department of Education’s COVID-19 reopening handbook, which Fox News obtained during an investigation.

The department linked the organization’s “Guide for Racial Justice & Abolitionist Social and Emotional Learning” as a teaching suggestion upon reopening schools. On Fox News, Jones said, “The big question parents that are at home watching this package should ask themselves is: are they okay with reforms or do they want to be just like this group that wants to burn down the system?”

After facing backlash, the Biden administration said the inclusion of the Abolitionist Teaching Network was a mistake and has been removed from the handbook, suggesting, “The Department does not endorse the recommendations of this group, nor do they reflect our policy positions.”
