TRUTH BOMB: As Rand Paul Goes Off On Liberals For Buying Into And Spreading The Trump-Russia Collusion Hoax

It was recently reported that Kentucky GOP Sen. Rand Paul is jokingly suggesting a special counsel could be called to investigate those who peddled the fake Russian collusion narrative.

During an interview on Newsmax, Paul joked about launching an investigation into Russian ties with environmentalists.

“Maybe we should get a special prosecutor,” Paul said. “Maybe we need to spend about $100 million investigating Putin’s contributions to the green alarmists in our country.”

“I don’t know if it’s true,” Paul added. “But can you imagine, there’s probably more truth to that than any of the BS they put forward about trying to connect the Russians to the Trump campaign.”

Left-wing environmental groups opposed the Keystone XL pipeline and have also pushed for restrictions on oil and gas drilling as well as fracking, claiming it has contributed to climate change.

Others argue that left-wing efforts against oil and gas drilling, coupled with current Biden administration policies, contributed to high oil and gas prices, which means more revenue for the Russian government given they are large producers of oil.

Paul wasn’t suggesting that left-wing groups are actually in cahoots with Russia.

However, there was also no proof that Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign was colluding with Russia to “rig” the election in his favor, yet Democrats and their left-wing allies played a role in a special counsel being appointed and launching a nearly two-year-long witch hunt into Trump, his campaign, and his allies.

Speaking of the dossier and fake Russia ties, Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee have been fined by the Federal Election Commission for lying about the funding of the discredited “dossier.”

The unverified and salacious anti-Trump dossier was used in a smear attempt against Donald Trump weeks before the 2016 presidential election.

The FEC fined Clinton’s treasurer $8,000 and the DNC’s treasurer $105,000.

The election agency said that Clinton and the DNC violated strict rules on describing expenditures of payments funneled to the opposition research firm Fusion GPS through their law firm.

Instead, the DNC’s $849,407.97 and the Clinton campaign’s $175,000 covered Fusion GPS’s opposition research on the dossier, a basis for the so-called “Russia hoax” that dogged Trump’s first term.
