THIS IS FUNNY: Andrew Cuomo Calls Biden’s Open-Border Policy ‘A Mistake,’ Admits ‘Southern States Were Right’ About The Migrant Crisis

According to the New York Post report, the previous Democratic Governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, has accused U.S. President Joe Biden of his lax border policies. He also acknowledged that “southern states were right.”
During Wednesday’s episode of his podcast, “Matter of Fact,” Cuomo grilled Joe Biden over his open border policy. Cuomo argued Biden should have implemented a plan first to control the massive surge of illegal immigrants coming to the United States.
Cuomo talked about Biden’s decision to lift the Trump-era border restrictions, and he blamed Biden and his team for not realizing the “consequences of enacting those promises.”
In August last year, the Biden administration lifted Trump’s Migrant Protection Protocols program, which forced illegal immigrants to return to Mexico and stay there until their immigration proceedings were complete.
Cuomo argued:
“It was a mistake for President Biden to open the border without having a plan to handle the tremendous flow of people. President Biden had said he would do it in the campaign — but you can’t change a policy unless you have the program (in place) to manage the change.”
The former Democratic governor reported that he opposes the southern border officials who transport illegal immigrants to asylum cities. Although Cuomo admitted that the border crisis is a “federal problem” and a “federal responsibility.”
Cuomo acknowledged:
“The southern states were right that opening the border created a tremendous hardship for them to handle. They were right that the federal government (wasn’t) prepared.”
Cuomo also blasted the present New York Governor, Kathy Hochul, and Mayor Eric Adams for not backing New York City even though they were aware of the influx of illegal immigrants entering the city for shelter.
According to a report by the Post, following the Spring of last year, approximately 43,000 illegal immigrants have taken shelter in NYC.
Cuomo complained that Hochul and her management should have bussed the immigrants equally in every shelter state.
He stated:
“New York City should never have accepted responsibility on its own. The mayor should have said that New York state needed to handle the problem.”
