The morning following the much-talked-about midterm elections, Jim Acosta of CNN was in the spotlight again.
Acosta was front and center during Trump’s years in the White House much to the ire of the 45th president. You could say he was a thorn in the former president’s side.
He’s back to throwing flames at his favorite target. He claims to have the inside scoop on Trump’s state of mind on Election Night.
Acosta tweeted that “‘Trump is livid’ and ‘screaming at everyone,’ after last night’s disappointing midterm results for GOP, according to a Trump adviser. The adviser went on to slam the former president’s handpicked contenders: ‘they were all bad candidates.’ ‘Candidates matter,’ the adviser said.”
In regard to Trump’s upcoming ‘announcement’, Acosta added, “This adviser said it’s unlikely Trump would delay his expected presidential announcement because ‘it’s too humiliating to delay.’ But the adviser said there are too many unknowns at this point.”
Not to allow Acosta the last word, Trump fired back.
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Trump addressed the story Acosta is peddling. He said, “There is a fake news narrative that I was furious — it is just the opposite.
“The people I endorsed did very well.
“I was batting 98.6% in the primaries, and 216 to 19 in the general election — that is amazing.
“All these guys that are winning are my people.
“I really think we had great candidates that performed very well,” Trump said. “Marco performed very well — I held a rally for him on Sunday.”
“JD Vance performed very well.
“Johnson won.
The GOP is still likely to take the House and may take the Senate once the counting is complete. Right now, the Republicans are ahead 49 to 48 in the Senate.
Trump went on, commenting on a couple of his most notable endorsed candidates.
“Oz worked very hard, but there were forces against him. Oz is a great guy. He had a lot of immovable forces against him.”
“Herschel is a great guy. He is in a runoff with a U.S. senator.”
Will Trump postpone his announcement? When asked, he said, “We had tremendous success. Why would anything change?”
This morning, Trump made this statement on Truth Social, “For those many people that are being fed the fake narrative from the corrupt media that I am Angry about the Midterms, don’t believe it. I am not at all angry, did a great job (I wasn’t the one running!), and am very busy looking into the future. Remember, I am a “Stable Genius.”
During Trump’s term in office, he tried to ban Acosta from the White House briefing room but was overruled by a judge.

Acosta was able to appeal to “disaffected Trump White House staffers” getting them to leak negative stories to assist Acosta in his crusade against the former president.
A lot of people have come out in defense of Trump since Tuesday’s elections and many are speaking out against him.
Trump took to Truth Social to disparage candidates like Don Bulduc of New Hampshire and Joe O’Dea of Colorado making some of his supporters question whether or not he is only looking out for himself.
