A new book, by the previous acting Defense Secretary Christopher Miller, reveals how the former First Lady Melania Trump had a significant role in the Situation Room when a vital operation was being carried out.

ISIS terrorist leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was killed in that operation.

Miller’s new book will be releasing this week and is titled as “Soldier Secretary: Warnings from the Battlefield & the Pentagon about America’s Most Dangerous Enemies.”

The Daily Caller obtained some excerpts of the book which discloses interesting information about the former First Lady’s presence in the Situation Room during a crucial operation where she offered some great advice to her husband, the former President Donald Trump.

Miller wrote:

“Secretary of Defense Mark Esper quickly gave up his seat and she sat down next to the President, who introduced her to us as if we didn’t know who she was. Her presence was unexpected, to say the least. I wondered how it would play in the press if word got out that the First Lady had popped in to watch a major military operation. Not my problem, I figured. And after all, it was her house.”

He continued:

“The assault force commander wouldn’t declare ‘Jackpot’—the code word announcing that Baghdadi was dead—until the body was inspected. They would also take some tissue to check for a DNA match once they got back to friendly territory. [Then-deputy national security advisor Matt] Pottinger and I knew that some poor kid was searching through the dust-and smoke-shrouded rubble with his helmet-mounted lamp and handheld flashlight, trying to find Baghdadi’s head.”

Miller also revealed that after the victorious operation, the former President Donald Trump questioned the team regarding how he should inform the Americans.

Miller tells that he was surprised by Melania Trump “taking over.”

Miller wrote, Melania said:

“You should talk about the dog. Everyone loves dogs.”

Trump agreed with his wife as he believed it was excellent advice which is why Conan, the dog, was brought to the White House.

While honoring Conan with an award, Trump claimed that he did “such a great job in capturing and killing the leader of ISIS.”
