Secretary of State Mike Pompeo Has Hillary Clinton’s Emails and Plans to Release them Before Election Day

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says that he and his team have emails from Hillary Clinton and her private server that she used for official public communication while she was Secretary of State in the Obama administration and that he plans to release them before the election. The 30,000 emails in question were deleted for “personal matters” after they were ordered to be handed over for an investigation.

President Trump has sad that he’s not very happy with Pompeo and Attorney General William Barr for being slow to obtain the records and then release them. The President said, “Mike Pompeo has been unable to get them out, which is very sad. Actually, I’m not happy about him for that reason. He was unable to get them out. I don’t know why. You’re running the State Department, you get them out.”

Speaking to assure the safeguards for national security Pompeo said, “I’ve been at this with President Trump for four years now, almost. I’ve never seen him do anything that would put any kind of asset, any kind of one of our officers in any harm’s way. He wouldn’t do that. We’ll get the information out that needs to get out and we’ll do it in a way that protects the intelligence sources that we need to protect.”

Pompeo continued to say that the President does have the authority to declassify and release these emails. Fox News’ Dana Perino on Friday asked if the emails would be released before the November 3 and he responded, “We’re going to get there. We’re going to get this information out so the American people can see it. We’re doing it as fast as we can. I certainly think there’ll be more to see before the election.”
