Rep. James Comer Demands Janet Yellen Hand Over Suspicious Hunter Biden Bank Statements, Suspects Treasury Is Covering For Biden’s

Republican Rep. James Comer, the top member of the House Oversight Committee, is demanding that Janet Yellen turn over documents relating to suspicious bank transactions linked to Hunter Biden and the Biden family.

Comer sent a letter to Yellen and accused her department of running “cover for the Biden family and its associates.”

Comer claims that the Treasury denied their petitioning for suspicious financial activity linked to Hunter Biden and James Biden, President Joe Biden’s brother.

The Daily Mail reported:

The Treasury did not meet GOP lawmakers’ June 8 deadline. According to Comer’s letter, department officials refused to provide the notices in a June 13 phone call.

He suggested that requiring support on both sides of the aisle for such a request is a change in executive branch policy.

He wrote to Yellen that Republicans on his committee ‘are investigating whether this change in longstanding policy is motivated by efforts to shield Hunter Biden and potentially President Biden from scrutiny.’ 

Comer wrote a similar memo in May referencing a CBS News report detailing suspicions raised over financial activity of the president’s son and brother James Biden.

The letter read, “According to recent media reports, more than 150 of Hunter Biden and the Biden network’s international business transactions have generated suspicious activity reports by U.S. banks for further review by the Treasury Department to determine if there is illegal activity or a threat to national security.”

“It is troubling that the Biden Administration is willing to provide a false story to the media to create the appearance of transparency while continuing to thwart congressional oversight,” Comer wrote.

“Treasury’s actions call for investigation and raise new questions about the degree to which the Biden Administration is using the federal government to provide cover for the Biden family and its associates.”

Comer has been adamant and relentless in his pursuit of holding the Biden family accountable.

Representative James Comer (R-KY) warned that Hunter Biden is a “national security risk” in an interview with “Fox & Friends First.” Comer asked why two Russian oligarchs that had close ties to Hunter Biden, were “mysteriously” left off a recent White House sanctions list.

Comer said in the interview:

We have that computer now in the House Oversight Committee, and we’re combing through that, and I can say I share his concerns. I’ve been saying for months that Hunter Biden is a national security risk. The question now is what did Joe Biden know and when did he know it? Because Hunter Biden’s whole business model revolved around doing favors for his clients. In fact, if you look at two of the Russian oligarchs who paid Hunter Biden money, they had just been mysteriously left off this White House’s sanctions list of Russian billionaire oligarchs. We’ve asked for information from the White House as to why this omission from the two people that we know transacted money to Hunter Biden’s account, so this is a national security risk. We, as Republicans and as business owners and taxpayers, we’ve been asking for months, why did Joe Biden make some of the decisions that he makes? Maybe the reason is because Hunter Biden is compromised and therefore Joe Biden is compromised with some of these Russian oligarchs and some of these shady communist China companies.
