Project Veritas Releases Video Exposing Ballot Harvesting in Minnesota with Links to Ilhan Omar

Sunday night Project Veritas released a video exposing ballot harvesting in Minnesota with links to Representative Ilhan Omar. Founder of Project Veritas, James O’Keefe said, “We are showing Americans what is really going on in one of our great cities—but, it’s not me saying—we have the operators on tape saying it all themselves.”

The video exposes that workers in Ilhan Omar’s district are being paid to gather absentee ballots from elderly Somali immigrants. Liban Mohamed posted a video to SnapChat of him rifling through hundreds of absentee ballots in his car. In the video he says, “Numbers don’t lie. You can see my car is full. All these here are absentee ballots. . . . Look, all these are for Jamal Osman. Money is the king in this world . . . and a campaign is driven by money.”

Two people in the video mention Ilhan Omar by name. Omar Jamal reached out to Project Veritas and was the one to blow the lid off on this scandal. He works with the Ramsey County Sheriff Department and he’s also the chairman of the Somali Watchdog Group. Jamal said, “It’s an open secret. She will do anything that she can do to get elected and she has hundreds of people on the streets doing that.”

An anonymous former political worker based in Minneapolis told Project Veritas that during the Minnesota primary elections they took every single ballot from elderly people living in a complex. She also said that they have the entire system down. She said, “They will tell you we are applying for your ballot. They take a picture of your social security and your driver’s license. They have a database. When the ballot comes, they track it. Sometimes, they make fake emails. They track the ballot. Then they come and pick up the ballot, unopened.” She also revealed that they carry bags of cash and that young people and women are often targeted to sell their votes for cash.

Exposing the realities of ballot harvesting James O’Keefe said, “Ballot harvesting is real and it has become a big business. Our investigation into this ballot harvesting ring demonstrates clearly how these unscrupulous operators exploit the elderly and immigrant communities—and have turned the sacred ballot box into a commodities trading desk.”
