MASSIVE POTENTIAL WIN FOR REPUBLICANS: As A Former Federal Prosecutor Makes The Case For An Investigation Into The Affairs Of Joe And Hunter Biden

It was recently reported that former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy has made a convincing argument as to why U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland must appoint a special counsel to investigate both Joe and Hunter Biden since the probes could lead to criminal prosecutors.

Claiming that his argument is “bulletproof,” McCarthy — who was in charge of the federal prosecution of terrorists responsible for the 1993 World Trade Center bombing — laid out his case in an op-ed published by The Hill on Thursday.

“The undeniable facts are that (a) there is a bulletproof case for the appointment of a special counsel under regulations that are supposed to bind the Justice Department, and (b) if the shoe were on the other foot, there is no way Democrats would indulge the pleas of a Republican attorney general,” McCarthy wrote.

The author of the 2019 book “Ball of Collusion,” a detailed account of the Trump-Russia collusion hoax, admitted that he “despise[s]” the concept of an independent prosecutor.

However, he reasoned, with a growing number of troubling revelations stemming from Hunter Biden’s authenticated laptop containing references to shady international business deals, the Biden Justice Department should avoid all possibilities of appearing politicized or otherwise seen as interfering in the probe.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Delaware is currently investigating Hunter Biden, reportedly over tax issues that may involve huge, unreported payments from foreign sources while his father was vice president.

David Weiss, the top federal prosecutor in the Delaware office, was an appointee of former President Trump.

“We put the investigation into the hands of a Trump appointee from the previous administration, the U.S. attorney for the District of Delaware, and because you have me as attorney general who is committed to the independence of the justice department from any influence from the White House in criminal matters,” Garland told senators in testimony Tuesday.

However McCarthy, who noted “millions of dollars allegedly poured into the Biden family, not just the president’s son, from foreign sources tied to notoriously corrupt governments (Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Mexico) and authoritarian regimes that are hostile to the United States (China and Russia),” called Garland’s assurances “specious.”

“Trust in Garland is not the issue,” McCarthy wrote.

“The conflict, and straightforward application of the regulation, take the matter out of the attorney general’s hands.

It is in the public interest to have a lawyer from outside the president’s own Justice Department lead the investigation of the president’s son — and perhaps the president’s own conduct.”

“The longer Biden’s attorney general fights that reality, the more it increases suspicion that the president’s hands may not be clean,” McCarthy added.
