On Wednesday, GOP Rep. from Texas, Chip Roy gave out a full-voiced approval of the Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for 2024 Presidential run, even with that, the GOP Governor has yet to declare his will to run for the Presidential race.
Roy emailed his supporters this Wednesday, informing them about DeSantis’ endorsement and called DeSantis a “man of conviction” who is the best fit to hold the presidential role.
The Florida Governor is believed to be a leading competitor for the GOP ticket in 2024, though he has not officially declared his run for office.
Roy stated in the email:
“The next President of the United States must be a vibrant and energetic leader with the faith, vision, and courage to chart a new course. America needs a leader who will truly defend her and empower the people against the destructive force of unrestrained government and corporate excess, profligate spending, and woke cultural indoctrination. That leader is Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.”
Roy also claimed that the Florida Governor has “unequivocally” grown Florida “stronger and freer.”
He appreciated DeSantis for shifting illegal border crossers to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, in a “message to elites,” and also appreciated his COVID-19 precautionary mandates.
In the upcoming 2024 presidential elections, Ron DeSantis seems to be the best competitor for former President Donald Trump.
Trump holds an advantage at majority polls, however, DeSantis surpasses all other GOP members who are willing to run for the Presidential elections.
Trump also sees DeSantis as a perfect competitor and regularly grills him in his campaigns and often referred to the Florida Governor as “Ron DeSanctimonious.”
