Major Announcement: Arizona Is Set To Launch “Anti-Woke Hotline” For Parents To Report Gender, Critical Race Theory Lessons

Shutting down schools during the pandemic and beyond had a lot of devastating consequences for students, but the leftist agenda suffered a loss as well. 

Parents got a glimpse of the indoctrination going on at our nation’s public schools and are fighting back. Pornographic materials are being removed from school libraries. Drag queen story hours are getting canceled. 

In Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis signed HB 1557, Parental Rights in Education, prohibiting instruction on sexual orientation and gender identity in kindergarten through 3rd grade. 

The state of Arizona recently joined the fight against far-left indoctrination. The state set up an “anti-woke” hotline. 

Arizona Superintendent of Public Schools Tom Horne established the “Empower Hotline” for parents to report “inappropriate” content being taught in the classroom. 

If kids are learning things like critical race theory, inappropriate sexual topics, or gender ideology, parents can call the hotline to report it. 

Superintendent Horne talked to “Fox & Friends First” about this new tool in the fight against indoctrination and grooming of children. 

He said, “We’ve asked parents to call in when they become aware of inappropriate teaching. As you mentioned, that would include lessons that focus on race or ethnicity rather than individuals on merit, gender ideology, social-emotional learning, or inappropriate sexual content.”

“Then when we get those calls, we investigate them to see if there’s inappropriate teaching that detracts from academics,” he continued.

“There have been very negative trends in society and in our public schools,” Horne said. “My predecessor was a Democrat who emphasized woke ideology in all those categories I mentioned, and we’ve got to fight back and bring the power back to the parents and stop the woke teaching and focus on academics.”

“Test scores have hit the bottom of the well,” he continued. “We’ve got to get the test scores up. In order to do that, we need to focus on academics, and we need to get rid of these other distractions from academics.”

He’s absolutely right. What happened to a focus on learning the basics like math, history, language arts, and science? Our students are lagging behind other countries.

One very vocal critic attributes the establishment of the hotline to what else but White supremacy, of course.

Sari Beth Rosenberg went on TikTok to share her thoughts. She said,
“Looks like Arizona is giving the DeSantis’ Florida a run for its money now in being the most fascist White supremacist state in the country. So I think maybe we should call this hotline and let them know how we feel because they had to shut down that Virginia hotline that Governor Youngkin set up back in November, so maybe we should call.”

Horne said, “I’m the exact opposite of a white supremacist, I believe we’re all individuals.”

“We’re brothers and sisters under the skin. All that matters about is what we know, what we can do, what is our character, what is our ability to appreciate beauty, and race is completely irrelevant.”

“Critical race theory teaches the opposite that race is primary, and we want to get the focus back on the individual and individual merit and get the focus away from race, which in my opinion, is not relevant to anything,” he continued.

America used to be a place where you got ahead by merit, not by your identity.

Many school districts are struggling nationwide, filled with students who can’t meet basic proficiency standards, but by all means, let’s keep teaching kids that they can change their gender and that white people are oppressors.
