“LEFTIST MANIACS!”; Trump Goes After Rapinoe After Olympic Performance

Former President Donald Trump was in full roasting form yesterday as he went after professional wokester and part-time soccer player, Megan Rapinoe following her less than impressive performance at the Tokyo Olympics.
In the aftermath of the U.S. Soccer team’s performance in Tokyo which saw them fail to nab the Gold medal and had to settle for a Bronze medal, Trump directed his legendary snark to Rapinoe and the “woke” movement as a whole.

As The Independent reports, “If our soccer team, headed by a radical group of Leftist Maniacs, wasn’t woke, they would have won the Gold Medal instead of the Bronze,” Mr Trump said in a statement sent to reporters. “Woke means you lose, everything that is woke goes bad, and our soccer team certainly has. There were, however, a few Patriots standing. Unfortunately, they need more than that respecting our Country and National Anthem,” he added.
Characteristically, Trump didn’t hold back. He set the sights of his verbal machine gun on Rapinoe saying that “They should replace the wokesters with Patriots and start winning again. The woman with the purple hair played terribly and spends too much time thinking about Radical Left politics and not doing her job!”.
Trump certainly isn’t the first person to comment on the bizarre woke movement that some professional athletes seem so fetched by. The “Get Woke, Go Broke” trope has proven itself correct, primarily in the commercial sense. Shares of Nike dropped exponentially after its infamous Colin Kaepernick debacle. Additionally, Gillette saw a major drop in its market value after its ridiculous “woke” commercial effectively accusing men of toxicity. It was here that Gillette switched its decades old slogan from ‘the best a man can get’ to ‘the best men can be’ Gillette parent company Proctor& Gamble took an $8 billion non-cash write down of Gillette last year.
The virus of the Radical Left and its “woke” behavior has already infected athletics, media, and academia. The hope is that this soiree of self-righteousness can soon come to and end. However, if it doesn’t, at least Trump will be there call attention to it, in his own way.
