Judge Issues Game-Changing Order In President Trumps Case
A federal judge has imposed a temporary gag order on former President Donald Trump concerning the government’s case regarding alleged election interference.
In a ruling delivered by U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan, it was decided that Trump is prohibited from making public statements about special counsel Jack Smith, individuals employed by the court, or any of the government’s witnesses involved in his case.

Judge Chutkan voiced concern about the potentially harmful language employed by Trump and emphasized that his previous presidential candidacy does not grant him the privilege to defame public servants.
Judge Chutkan issued an order that restricts Trump from creating or sharing statements that directly single out special counsel Jack Smith and his team, Judge Chutkan’s personnel, or the personnel of the U.S. district court. Furthermore, she forbade him from making any statements concerning possible witnesses involved in the case and the content of their potential testimony.
This ruling significantly curtails Trump’s capacity to present his defense during his campaign.
In response, Trumps legal team immediately fired back with an appeal and stated this as an “abomination”
The statement from the Trump team said, “Today’s decision is an absolute abomination and another partisan knife stuck in the heart of our Democracy by Crooked Joe Biden, who was granted the right to muzzle his political opponent, the leading candidate for the Presidency in 2024, and the most popular political leader in America, President Donald J. Trump.”
“President Trump will continue to fight for our Constitution, the American people’s right to support him, and to keep our country free of the chains of weaponized and targeted law enforcement.”
