The current climate of cancellation we live in (one strives to avoid cliche in an article, so we eschew the typical “cancel culture” wording) has received a great deal of justified criticism. It has received even more justified repudiation.

Many have correctly identified it as hateful and as an antidote of freedom of discourse. Now, it’s gotten so bad that there are even some in ultra-liberal Hollywood who see wokeness and the generation that proliferates it for what it really is.

It is now being reported by TruthTent that:

Clint Eastwood surprised many when he told the LA Times that “he’s not ready to quit” any time soon, and it would seem that one reason he’s still making movies is due to his outlook on the current generation.

The Oscar-winning director didn’t hold back when he was interviewed by Esquire Magazine as the discussion turned to his experiences in Hollywood and his personal strong-held beliefs.

“Secretly everybody’s getting tired of political correctness, kissing up,” Clint Eastwood said. “That’s the kiss-a** generation we’re in right now. We’re really in a p**** generation. Everybody’s walking on eggshells. We see people accusing people of being racist and all kinds of stuff. When I grew up, those things weren’t called racist.”

TruthTent went on to report that:

The award-winning actor continued, “When I did Gran Torino, even my associate said, ‘This is a really good script, but it’s politically incorrect.’ And I said, ‘Good. Let me read it tonight.’ The next morning, I came in and I threw it on his desk and I said, ‘We’re starting this immediately.’”

UPI went on to report that:

Eastwood then lambasted the  “p**** generation,” saying, “All these people that say, ‘Oh, you can’t do that, and you can’t do this, and you can’t say that.’ I guess it’s just the times.”

The Unforgiven star also blasted the current generation as one where “nobody wants to work.” He explained, “That’s why people are saying, ‘Why should I work? I’ll get something for nothing, maybe.’ And going around and talking about going to college for free.”

It was further reported that:

Eastwood said he hadn’t spoken to Trump or any other political candidate in regards to an endorsement, but said he would choose him over Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.

“That’s a tough one, isn’t it? I’d have to go for Trump … you know, ’cause she’s declared that she’s gonna follow in Obama‘s footsteps,” he said. “There’s been just too much funny business on both sides of the aisle.”

When asked for his opinion on politics Scott said he would “leave that for the birds.”

Mr. Eastwood isn’t the only person out of Hollywood to go against the grain and the Hollywood hivemind. Recently, The Raging Patriot reported that actor Mark Wahlberg has recently moved to Nevada. He appeared on the TV show, “The Talk” and explained why he wanted to leave. Appearing on Tuesday’s episode of “The Talk,” Wahlberg opened up about the “biggest challenge” he faces while having to balance his career and being a family man. “I want to be able to work from home,” Wahlberg, 51, said. “I moved to California many years ago to pursue acting, and I’ve only made a couple of movies in the entire time that I was there.”
