HILARIOUS: NFL says ‘football is gay’ in commercial supporting Carl Nassib

The NFL recently released a commercial in support of Oakland Raiders defensive end Carl Nassib stating “football is gay.”
The 30-second commercial starts by stating “football is gay.” It also included phrases such as “football is lesbian,” “football is queer” and “football is transgender” among other statements. The video ends with the logo of the NFL with pride colors and a promotion for the Trevor Project, a youth- focused LGBT charity (Washington Examiner).

Nassib has announced additionally in his coming-out statement that he is donating $100,000 donation to the Trevor Project. The NFL debuted their commercial on social media. They tweeted, “the NFL stands by the LGBTQ+ community today and every day.” The NFL also stated, “if you love this game, you are welcome here. Football is for all. Football is for everyone.”
“I am proud of the clear message this spot sends to the NFL’s LGBTQ+ fans: This game is unquestionably for you,” said Sam Rapoport, the NFL’s senior director of diversity, equity and inclusion. In his interview last week, Rapoport shared his own thoughts on how the NFL can foster a welcoming environment for gay and lesbian people. Rapoport states, “You don’t need to be an expert in all the terms. You just need to try.”
