“He’s Done A Hell Of A Job”; Biden Praises Disgraced Governor Andrew Cuomo In Aftermath Of Sex Abuse Scandals

It was at an ill-fated press conference Tuesday that President Joe Biden, shockingly and yet somehow still predictably, praised former Governor Andrew Cuomo following his resignation in the face of a litany of sex abuse scandals.

According to the New York Post, Biden lauded Cuomo despite the fact that he’s under investigation by at least four New York district attorneys for assault and under federal investigation for an admitted coverup of COVID-19 deaths at New York nursing homes. This doesn’t seem laudable, but it seems to be good enough for Biden.

At the press conference, CBS’ Ed O’Keefe asked Biden to “assess his 10 and a half years as governor of the state.” In a courageously stupid response, Biden felt it was justified to say, publicly and without irony, that ““Well, he’s done a hell of a job. He’s done a hell of a job. And I mean, both on — everything from access to voting to infrastructure to a whole range of things. That’s why it’s so sad,”.

Mr. Biden didn’t seem to show any degree of remorse for any of the 11 women that have come forward alleging that Cuomo assaulted them.

In a rare show of hard journalism, it was, of all networks, CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins who took Biden to task on this point. She asked the extremely reasonable question of how Biden could praise someone who is almost assuredly (though at this point allegedly) a sexual predator. In a small masterpiece of compartmentalization, Biden simply said that he was referring to Cuomo’s work “outside of his personal behavior.”

In an apparent betrayal of the #metoo movement of which he has previously claimed membership, Biden said that women should be believed if their claims “make sense”.

“Women should be believed when they make accusations that are able to, on the face of them, make sense and they are investigated and the judgment was made that what they said was correct. That’s one thing. The question is did he do a good job on infrastructure. That was the question. He did,” .
