Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida recently criticized Democrat’s push for strict mask mandates as “a movement to impose more restrictions on the American people,” and announced his new executive order this Friday to empower Florida’s parents’ right to decide for their kids without fearing local government and school mandate regulations.

This executive order comes in as The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is recommending students and faculty in most K-12 schools to wear masks for the upcoming school year.

“The federal government has no right to tell parents that in order for their kids to attend school in person, they must be forced to wear a mask all day, every day,”

Governor Ron Desantis

“Many Florida schoolchildren have suffered under forced masking policies, and it is prudent to protect the ability of parents to make decisions regarding the wearing of masks by their children.”

“And I just want to say in Florida, there will be no lockdowns. There will be no school closures. There will be no restrictions or mandates in the state of Florida,”

Governor Ron Desantis

This announcement on Friday comes after the Governor had just made comments earlier this week in Utah criticizing the flip-flopping CDC and Dr. Fauci- “should not be consigned to live… in a Faucian dystopia.”
