Earlier this week, on Monday, The Covenant School, located in the Green Hills neighborhood of Nashville, Tennessee, was forcefully raged by a shooter who killed three students and three teachers.

It was later discovered that the shooter was a 28-year-old trans, Audrey Hale, and a former student of the school.

On Tuesday, the Republican Senator from Missouri, Josh Hawley, in concern with the heartbreaking incident, demanded immediate federal investigations.

The Senator also indicated that the shooter might have a motive behind all this, however, the police department are looking at it as a “targeted” and planned attack.

Hawley stated:

“We should be clear about what happened in Nashville. Police say the shooting was ‘targeted.’ That makes it a federal hate crime – against Christian children and teachers. Targeting victims on the basis of religious affiliation is a hate crime. It should be investigated as such.”

He concluded:

“All federal resources necessary should be brought to bear. And those individuals or groups who have spread a message of hate against the Christian community – which resulted here in horrific violence – should be held to account.”

Once it’s resolved whether the shooting was a hate crime or not, it will proceed forward for federal jurisdiction, and then the federal government might provide assistance with extra resources and support to the law enforcement agencies during the probes.

This might depend on how the case is investigated or prosecuted.

A report issued this Monday showed that Hale was a former student of The Covenant School.

The chief of police suggested that Hale had a motive and that the shooting was a targeted attack.

The commander stated:

“We have a manifesto. We have some writing we’re going over that pertain to this date, the actual incident. We have a map drawn out of how this all was going to take place. There’s right now a theory that we may be able to talk about later, but it’s not confirmed.”
