A statement issued from China and Russia declaring a deep strategic alliance is a “incredibly dangerous development,” particularly as tensions with Ukraine rise, according to Fred Fleitz, vice-chairman of the America First Policy Institute and former National Security Council chief of staff, on Newsmax on Saturday.

Fleitz, who has shown more concern for China than any action Russia can take, has asked the Biden administration to reconsider its decisions.

“When we talk about Ukraine, we have two tremendously critical issues for the US: staying out of conflict with Russia and keeping Russia from sliding more into the clutches of China,” Fleitz told “The Count.” “Those two countries don’t get along.” he said.

“They have many disagreements, yet this alliance might have a significant impact on American and world security.” he added.

Fleitz has stated that the United States’ management of Ukraine is pushing Russia’s President Vladimir Putin towards a connection with China’s President Xi Jinping, and that “this is not a positive trend.”

He advises the Biden Administration to reassess its options in light of the growing Russian and Chinese danger.

Russia and China reinforced their strategic relationship on Friday, when Xi welcomed Putin on the opening day of the Beijing Winter Olympics.

The two countries claimed in a joint statement that their new relationship is superior to any other political or military alliance forged during the Cold War.

The Biden administration alleged Moscow on Thursday of planning a video depicting a fake mass casualty event on Russia by Ukraine in order to rationalize an invasion.

Fleitz called an argument this week between State Department spokesman Ned Price and members of the media questioning the evidence “very crucial,” pointing out that intelligence sources supporting such stories are usually inaccurate.

But, when it comes to Russia and Ukraine, President Joe Biden has been “all over the place,” according to Fleitz. Fleitz criticized the Biden administration’s efforts to preserve the Iran nuclear agreement, including the restoration of sanctions relief, and stated that the Iranians are “saving us from ourselves” by refusing to accept.
