Former President Donald Trump To Speak at CPAC

In his first public appearance since leaving the White House, former President Donald Trump will appear at next Sunday’s Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Florida. Despite being possibly the most vocal President in American history, the 45th President has remained uncharacteristically mum since President Joe Biden ascended to the White House.

Sources close to his speech indicate his speech will preview the future of the Republican Party and, more generally, conservatism as Trump prepares to enter the next stage of his political career, from the President to the central thought leader of the conservative movement.

“Trump will be talking about the future of the Republican Party and the conservative movement. Also, look for the 45th president to take on President Biden’s disastrous amnesty and border policies,’ according to a source familiar with Trump’s speech,” Fox News reported.

Following bans off of virtually every major social media platform, the outspoken Trump has had little opportunity to share his thoughts with his supporters, other than through the newly established “Office of the Former President”, which releases statements and updates for Trump’s life post-Presidency. After his second acquittal during the impeachment trial in the Senate, the office proudly proclaimed the MAGA movement had only just begun.

“Our historic, patriotic and beautiful movement to Make America Great Again (MAGA) has only just begun,” he said in a statement last week. “In the months ahead I have much to share with you, and I look forward to continuing our incredible journey together to achieve American greatness for all of our people. There has never been anything like it!”

Though his speech at CPAC will be his first major public appearance, Trump did deliver his first interview on Fox News to commemorate the life of legendary radio host, Rush Limbaugh, who died at 70 on Wednesday of lung cancer.

“He was with me right from the beginning. And he liked what I said and he agreed with what I said. And he was just a great gentleman. Great man,” Trump said in a phone interview on Fox News.

Trump also appeared on Newsmax’s “Greg Kelly Reports” on Wednesday, discussing Biden’s bumbling vaccine distribution, his ban off of Twitter, and revealed he was purposely “quiet” during Biden’s first few weeks in office. “I really wanted to be somewhat quiet,” he said. “It hasn’t been that quiet, frankly, but I wanted to be somewhat quiet.”

Continually fueling speculation of a 2024 Presidential run, Trump did not count out the possibility of running, explaining, “It’s too early to say, but I see a lot of great polls out there. We have tremendous support.” 

“I won’t say yet, but I have tremendous support, and I’m looking at poll numbers that are through the roof.”

With his first major appearance in a week, we will finally learn what’s next for the former but ever popular President Donald Trump.
