The Republican Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis is defending Donald Trump against the accusations by the far-left DA of Manhattan, Alvin Bragg following his efforts to indict Trump on Thursday last week.

DeSantis is also a competitor to Donald Trump for the upcoming 2024 presidential race.

At a fundraiser in Garden City, New York, DeSantis who has been at the receiving end of verbal hits by Trump, defended Trump and called Bragg “a menace to society” and also a danger to Democrats.

He stated:

“This guy is all about politics. His whole thing is he doesn’t want people to be in jail, he wants to downgrade felonies to misdemeanors. Really, really dangerous stuff.

He added:

“And then he turns around, does a flimsy indictment against a former president of the United States. All these legal gymnastics to act like this is a felony – when almost every other time, he’s trying to take the felonies and downgrade them.”

Harvard Law graduate Ron DeSantis, also claimed that:

“This guy is doing politics! He has an agenda, that is not the rule of law.”

DeSantis then started praising his state and his history as the governor of Sunshine State Florida.

During his address at the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City, he stated:

“For over four years, we don’t have leaks, we don’t have palace intrigue.”

He added:

“We just execute the agenda.”

During his whole speech of approximately 50 minutes, he didn’t criticize or mention Trump at all. However, he blasted Biden and stated:

“Our president, Joe Biden — he’s weak, he’s floundering. He’s really being controlled by the leftist elements of the Democratic Party.”
