It’s very alarming that a growing number of well-known figures find it necessary to have personal security for fear of being assassinated.
Add Elon Musk to the list. Following the release of the “Twitter Files” last Friday, the new Twitter CEO began receiving death threats.
The “Twitter Files” are confidential Twitter documents released by independent journalist Matt Taibbi after Musk turned the documents over to him and Bari Weiss.
The documents show that Joe Biden’s team instructed Twitter employees to remove certain content in October 2020 during the presidential election.
“If Twitter is doing team bidding before an election, silencing dissenting voices in a pivotal election, that is the definition of election interference”, Musk said.
Musk admitted in a live session on his social media website that he is quite concerned with his safety. The ‘loving and tolerant Left’ have not given him a moment of peace since buying Twitter in late October.
Musk said that he will no longer sign autographs in public due to these threats on his life.
“Frankly the risk of something bad happening or literally even being shot is quite significant. I’m definitely not going to be doing any open-air car parades, let me put it that way,” Musk said. “It’s not that hard to kill me if somebody wanted to, so hopefully they don’t.”
Musk told a group of reporters outside the Dulles Airport near D.C., “I’ve made it clear, I’m not doing any more — any more signings, ever again.”
Musk is both the richest and most powerful CEO in the world. He was lauded by Democrats when he was a majority-blue donor.
Politico referred to him as “the single most important individual driver of commercial renewable energy technology in the world.” The Left loves that!
So what happened? Why does he now fear for his life? Why is he being shunned by the Democrats?
His sin is allowing free speech on Twitter and the release of evidence of the collusion to cover up the Hunter Biden laptop story prior to the 2020 election.
Musk is quoted as saying, “At the end of the day, we just want to have a future in which we are not oppressed, expressions are not suppressed, where you can say what you want without fear of retaliation”.
“As long as you’re not actually causing another person harm, then you should be able to say whatever you want.”
The free speech absolutist now has a target on his back.
But he isn’t backing down. He went toe to toe with President Biden in a viral tweet last week.
Biden announced his administration’s plans to build a network of “publicly funded charging stations for electric vehicles.”
Biden boasted on Twitter, “We’re building 500,000 electric vehicle charging stations across the country. The great American road trip will be fully electrified.”
Musk, the CEO of Tesla, responded by reminding Biden that his company is way ahead of the curve.
He tweeted, “Or you can just buy a Tesla.”
