DEMOCRATS ATTACK HERO COP: Police officer who fatally shot woman after being attacked receives backlash

An off-duty police officer broke down after killing a woman who shot at him during a Juneteenth parade in Flint, Michigan.

The unnamed officer was approached by 19-year-old Briana Sykes who proceeded to fire at the officer from her car. Security footage shows the officer telling Sykes to drop her weapon before shooting her. The incident is currently being investigated by Michigan State Police.

However, witnesses, including parade attendees and other officers, say that the officer was in the right. Sykes fired her weapon first and ignored police orders before the officer shot her. After, officers on the scene attempted to revive the young woman.

One witness recalls, “I kind of feel like him dropping, it was the devastation of the whole situation. I feel like the police [officer] was doing his job. He had a life to protect. Not only his, but we had a parade full of kids.” Juneteenth was recently added to the list of US federal holidays by President Biden. Celebrations such as parades have occurred across the country, and this is not the first shooting incident to occur.
